1 Jul 2007 - Childrens Art Day: FABULOUS FROCKS AND HOT TOP HATS
On Sunday 1st July, the
Glenesk
Folk
Museum
held a children’s workshop entitled “Fabulous Frocks & Hot Top Hats”. The event was held in association with Children's Art Day which is a UK-wide arts celebration set up as part of the Artworks programme run by the Clore Duffield Foundation.
Girls were given the chance to experience, see, understand, make and wear a Victorian crinoline whereas the boys experienced making and wearing top hats. The event added a splash of colour to a driech day and certainly brought a smile to all those who witnessed the colourful end of day parade through the restaurant, shop and museum.
The Glenesk Retreat thanks the volunteers who gave up their valuable time to organise and manage such a fun event.
