The Glenesk Retreat is a multi-functional facility, which houses the Glenesk Folk museum, a restaurant and tearoom, gift shop, conference room, exhibition area, business office and community room.  Having had c. £800,000 spent on it since the community purchase in 2004, the Retreat is now truly a “treat” that you can experience and the glen community can be very proud of.

The Retreat is now open for the 2009 season, seven days a week, from noon until 6pm.

The Gift Shop has been re-stocked with many exciting new products. And the Tea Room walls are festooned with paintings and artwork from several local artists.

The Retreat can also be booked, outwith opening hours, for private groups of 8 or more at any time of year.

We now have public broadband access via 3 public computers and most of the building is now a WiFi hotspot during normal opening hours.
